Seminar: Lexical teaching and learning in EFL

This course provides an in-depth exploration of vocabulary teaching and learning in the EFL classroom. Students will engage with theoretical models of word knowledge and lexical development, examine empirical findings on vocabulary learning, and discuss the role of lexical competence in language proficiency. Building on these foundations, they will critically analyse teaching materials and curricula, evaluate approaches to lexical instruction, and design their own vocabulary-focused tasks and activities.
