Description

This course aims to familiarize you with the scaffolding for your academic (pro/contra, 4§-) essays which you can and should use in academic text productions. We will practice its application continually, i.e. we will use worksheets to acquire an understanding of the necessary structural elements of academic essays in the first half of the semester and then apply that knowledge to write an academic essay once a week in the second half of the semester.

Please note: This course is now taught IN-PERSON.  Preference will be given to students who have NOT yet taken any Writing course. Please attend Mr. Li's course "Grammar for Academic Writing" to help you with using correct academic language in your esays.
