Description

In this course students will study the basic principles of text production and work on improving structure (text, paragraph, and sentence structure), style/register and vocabulary, exactness, conciseness, and grammar. We will study the theoretical aspects of essay writing and go through various exercises together. Students will hand in short essays regularly and and receive individual feedback on their writing. Based on the reader and additional material, students will follow an individual learning plan including additional exercises in order to bring their writing skills to perfection.

This course will be taught digitally via Zoom. About 1/3 of it will be asynchronic.

Remarks

This C1+ Writing course will only improve your language skills if you attend class meetings regularly, do homework assignments on time, reflect on feedback received from the teacher and fellow students, and actively participate in class/group/pair activities.

Please note that we offer Writing courses only once per student, i.e. please make sure you are ready and prepared if you plan to register for this time-intensive C1+ writing course.
