Modulziele für das Modul: Well-Log Interpretation in Applied Geology:
Verständnis der gesteinsphysikalischen Grundlagen Erfassung der theoretischen Grundlagen, Funktionsprinzipien und Einsatzgebiete der vorgestellten Bohrlochmessungen (z.B. Widerstandsmessungen, Induktionsmessungen, radioaktive Verfahren, usw.) Vermittlung von Kenntnissen über hydraulische Tests Eigenständige Korrektur, Auswertung und Interpretation der Messungen und hydraulischen Tests zur Vorbereitung für Arbeiten in Ämtern, Forschungseinrichtungen, Ingenieurbetrieben sowie Erdöl- und Erdgasfirmen Befähigung zur eigenständigen Zusammenführung der Ergebnisse von Bohrlochmessungen und hydraulischen Tests in einer (thermisch-) hydraulischen Modellierung

Modulinhalte für das Modul: Well-Log Interpretation in Applied Geology:
- Petrophysical properties: density, porosity, saturation, thermal conductivity, radioactivity, acoustic velocity
- Measurement of: calliper, temperature, resistivity, induction, radioactivity, density, nuclear decay, acoustics, electric imaging
- Open-hole log analysis and interpretation
- Formation evaluation by cross plotting
Qualifikationsziele für das Modul: Well-Log Interpretation in Applied Geology:
- Knowledge about petrophysical properties, theory and usability of different logging methods for geological investigation
- Ability to apply corrections to different logging measurements
- Utilization of cross plotting methods to deduct lithology
- Competence in self-depending well-log interpretation and formation evaluation
- Knowledge about planning and carrying out of aquifer and well tests
- Ability to evaluate pumping test data
- Determination of hydrogeological parameters
