Description

This course aims to improve your speaking competence in academic English by engaging everyone in discussions of contemporary (cross-, inter- and intra-) cultural and social issues. Every participant will get a chance to practice their presentation skills in a short presentation on a cultural phenomenon in a country that will be chosen during the first session. Based on the search for and clear expression of arguments, we will additionally engage in classroom debates on culture-related topics in the hope to improve our intercultural competence.

Participation in the course will require your interest in world cultures and your willingness to talk in class.
