The ”Introduction to English Linguistics” module is the foundational linguistic course in our English study programs, taken typically in your first semester.
The lecture ”Linguistic Theory” explores structural and systemic approaches to English, its organization into different linguistic levels, analysis methods, and interactions. By the end of this module, students will have gained a fundamental understanding of both structural and social aspects of English linguistics, equipping them for advanced modules in their study programs.
